Ghana FA Threatens To Sue Journalists

The Ghana Football Association has revealed that they will summon some journalists and their media houses before the law court within the next 48 hours.

The unnamed journalists are based in Accra and Kumasi, according to the Communications Director of the GFA, Ibrahim Sannie Daara.

According to snippets of information gathered by, the journalists based in Accra include Asempa FM’s Patrick Osei Agyemang popularly known as ‘Songo’.

Speaking on Kumasi-based Sikka FM on Tuesday morning, the Spokesperson of the football governing body stressed that, the journalists and their Media Houses would be made to provide evidence that the GFA is corrupt.

Sannie Daara indicated that the Kwesi Nyantakyi-led FA has decided to go to court in order for the said journalists to suffer same fate as the Montie 3.

‘’We will serve some journalists and their media houses with writs within the next 48 hours. They have been preaching falsehoods against the FA and they have to prove that,’’ he told Sikka FM.

‘’One is in Accra and also Kumasi-based Nhyira FM. For them, we tasked some people to record their programs and I can tell you, we have about 200 recordings of their programs.’’

The FA have consistently threatened institutions and some personalities with legal actions but have so far failed to do as they said.
