Liberty Professionals head coach, George Lamptey has sounded confident ahead of their clash with Kotoko, stating that there is camaraderie among his players in camp despite their inconsistency in the second round of the Ghana Premier League.
The Scientific Soccer Lads has dipped in form contrary to what they exhibited in the first round of the domestic top-flight.
Liberty secured a vital 1-1 away draw with Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park last weekend. Kotoko on the other hand, recorded a slender 1-0 win over debutants Dreams FC in Kumasi.
Last season, the Dansoman-based side thrashed Kotoko 3-1 at the same venue, and Lamptey is looking forward for a repeat on Saturday.
‘’We’re poised for action and nothing should stop us from winning. We have not been impressive in the second round of the season but I ‘m confident Kotoko will fall,’’ he told Herosportsgh.com
‘’Last season we beat them here, my boys are in good spirit in camp and having been talking to each other. In fact, we’re focused.
‘’We can’t underrate them but I can assure our supporters that victory will be ours.
Top scorer of the league, Latif Blessing missed last weekend’s encounter with Berekum Chelsea due to a minor injury, and Lamptey tells Herosportsgh.com the youngster would be making a return into his team on the afternoon.
‘’It’s not true. Latif is okay now and it’s likely that he will play against Kotoko.’’
Kotoko currently lie 4th on the league log, and a win for them will see them climb top with regared to what will happen at other venues.
