The Public Relations Officer of Hearts Of Oak, Opare Addo, has indicated that Brazilian import Vinicius Logano Silva has joined the club for trials.
The Brazilian central defender, who landed in Ghana on Wednesday, had his first training session with the Rainbow Club on Thursday.
Reports were rife that Silva has penned down a deal with the 2000 CAF Champions League winners, but Opare Addo has described those reports as false.
Addo stated that the club’s head coach Sérgio Traguil recommended Silva to the management team.
‘’Yeah, it’s true that there’s a Brazilian in our camp. He is defender, not a striker as it has been reported,’’ Addo told Nhyira FM.
‘’He is here for trials. He is a free agent now and he was recommended by Traguil. So we have not signed him yet as reported by a section of the media.’’
Hearts have not been able to win the Ghana League since 2009 and have been strengthening the team every season in their guest to win the domestic title again.
