Under-fire Liberty Professionals Coach George Lamptey believes that he is still the right man to lead the club despite the club’s recent poor performance.
The Scientific Soccer Lads suffered a 0-2 at home to Asante Kotoko over the weekend. The defeat is the third in five games. Liberty had already to Aduana and Medema and just last weekend they recorded a 1-1 draw at Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park.
With six league games to end the season, Lamptey insists he is right man for the job and that whatever is happening is part of the game of football.
“I know results are not coming but I am doing very well and I am the right person for this job,” he said after the defeat.
“The performance of every coach is judged by results and I am sure all the supporters will say I am not good but that is how the job is.
“Things are not going well but we will turn things around before the season comes to an end.”
Liberty have dropped to ninth on the log and are two points away from the relegation zone.
