Accra Hearts of Oak have been dealt a big blow as their top and leading striker Cosmos Dauda misses their titanic clash with Wa All Stars.
Confirming the news to Class FM, the Communications Director of the club Opare Addo said the medical team have advised that he is exempted from the game due to a slight injury he is nursing.
“The medical team advised the technical team that it would not be prudent to continue using Cosmos because of his injury, so he has been left out of the squad that will travel to play Wa All Stars,” he stated.
Dauda has been the top marksman for the Phobians with seven goals in the league as the leading scorer of the club.
His absence will mean Hearts will have to hand either Samuel Tetteh or Foovi Aguidi a starting role as Musah Ibrahim has not been impressive over the last few matches.
Hearts are looking to reclaim their top spot after dropping points in their last two matches with WAFA and Techiman City.
Wa All Stars are leading the pack with 41 points with six matches to end the season.
