Ghana’s national U-17 female team, Black Maidens, has received assorted food items worth thousands of Ghana Cedis ahead of their World Cup tournament next month.
The Black Maidens who are currently camping at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre in Prampram took delivery of 20 bags of rice and 10 boxes of oil in order to aid their preparations ahead of the mundial in Jordan.
This gesture was made possible through Abraham Boakye popularly known as ‘One Man Supporter” after reports emanated that the young girls have been sent home due to financial difficulties.
But, according to the Marketing Manageress of the property outfit, Megg Akoto, it was through its brand manager Abraham Boakye, they got to know what the team needed and therefore did not hesitate to help in order to make the country proud.
The Black Maidens are drawn in Group D alongside the USA, Paraguay and Japan.
