#La Liga: KPB scores on debut

Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng scored on his debut Spanish La Liga appearance as his team Las Palmas defeated Valencia 4-2 on Monday night.

The Germany-born player provided the perfect response to his critics who had concluded that he was finished after being flogged by AC Milan at the end of last season.

Having joined the struggling club in the off-season Boateng warmed himself to coach Quique Setien during their training sessions.

The Ghanaian was handed a start and was pivotal as they raced into a commanding lead before Boateng scored in the 31st minute to make his mark in Spanish football.

After playing in some of the top leagues in the world for Hertha Berlin, Tottenham Hotspur, Borussia Dortmund, Portsmouth, AC Milan (twice) and Schalke, Boateng moved to Spain on a one-year contract with Las Palmas this summer.

In other results Celta Vigo lost at home to Leganes by a lone goal.
