Member of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports, Hon. Isaac Asiamah has blasted Youth and Sports Minister Hon. Nii Lante Vanderpuye for behaving as a radio presenter instead of performing his role as a minster of state.
The MP for Atwima Mponua believes that the outspoken Sports Minister is swaying from his core mandate and the earlier he wakes up to duty call, the better for the country.
“The Minister appears like a radio presenter who only rants about issues on radio without providing solutions. But that is not his job,” he told kumasi base Silver FM.
“He is just like a desperate person who has lost hope and is throwing his hands about with no apparent reason.
“His role as a Minister is not to be talking on radio but to provide ideas and suggestions for the development of the industry and not to be talking on radio as a radio presenter,’ he added.
Reports show that the Hon. Minister of Sports Nii Lante Vanderpuye has granted over 200 radio interviews since assuming office earlier this year, all targeting the Ghana FA.
