Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has finally joined United Arab Emirates giants Al Ahli on a one year season long loan from Chinese outfit Shanghai SIPG.
The 30 year old quickly trekked to Dubai on Wednesday to complete the deal after a botched move to Championship side Reading FC the previous day.
The former Sunderland attacker passed a mandatory medical to ensure smooth process.
Gyan was phenomenal during his four year stint with UAE side Al Ain, where he scored 128 goals in 123 matches. He also aided Al Ain to clinch three league titles, and also won three Golden Boot awards and scored the winner in the 2014 President’s Cup final against Ahli.
Gyan is expected to bring his experience to help propel Ahli to the top and help the club win laurels.
