Ghana and Panathinaikos midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has called on Ghanaians to rally behind the Black Stars on Sunday when they battle Rwanda in the final qualifier for 2017 African Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars hold their first training session yesterday at the Accra Sports Stadium ahead of the clash.
The former Celtic midfielder was among the 10 foreign-based players who reported for the first training session under the tutelage of Coach Avram Grant..
Wakaso is hoping that the team will continue to enjoy massive support at the stadium.
“You can see that we are all very focused and determined to do the job,” Wakaso told the press after the team’s first training session
“All we want is for the nation to support us so we deliver for them against Rwanda.”
“We want to maintain our momentum and continue our preparations for the World Cup Qualifier.”
Ghana leads Group H with 13 points.
