The president of Ghana Olympics Committee, Ben Nunoo Mensah, has hinted that female athlete Martha Bissah maybe left of the hook by the Ghana Athletics Association if negotiations between the new leadership and them is successful.
Bissah, a product of Aduman Senior High School in the Ashanti region, fell out with the Athletics Association, leading to her ban in June 2016, few months after winning gold medal at the youth olympics games as a result of gross indiscipline and an attempt to bring the name of the association to disrepute.
“I will have some discussions with Athletics Associationtop hierarchy and solicit for their advice. Whatever the problems are, we have to find an amicable solution to it and make sure the ban is lifted if possible,” Nunoo told Hot FM.
“Martha is a great prospect for the nation because she has a bright future and we must her to realise it.”
He added: “Very soon, I will be meeting with every federation head to understand their challenges and look at what we can do together to solve them one after the other to improve our sports”
