Black Stars B coach, Maxwell Konadu has expressed his happiness following his side’s victory in the Wàfu final against Nigeria Sunday.
Ghana annihilated Nigeria 4-1 in the last game of the tournament in Cape Coast.
Stephen Sarfo scored brace with Vincent Atinga and Winful Cobbinah netting a goal each for Ghana. Rabiu Ali snatched the consolation with few seconds to end the game.
Speaking after the game, Konadu indicated that his side had a difficult start to the tournament but that did not deter them from fighting to put smiles on the faces of Ghanaians at the end of the competition.
“We started slowly but we gathered momentum. We’re delighted to lift the title,”
Ghana wins the trophy for the second time in a row having won it in 2017.
