Ghana wallop Saudi Arabia in a friendly

Ghana’s Black Stars recorded a resounding 0-3 victory over Saudi Arabia in an international friendly Tuesday.

Coach Kwesi Appiah made five changes to the squad that started against Uganda in a world cup qualifier on Saturday. He handed debut start to Patrick Twumasi and defender Kassim Nuhu.

Goalie Ati Zigi Lawrence got the chance to Mann the post ahead of Ofori.

After the impressive start into the game, debutant Kassim Nuhu of Young Boys snatched the opener by tapping in coolly a cross from Ebenezer Ofori with just a minute to play in the first half.

Former Hearts Of Oak and Dreams Fc attacker Patrick Antwi, who had his debut cap for the Stars failed to score with a glorious opportunity but he headed into the hands of the goalkeeper, to deny Ghana a second goal.

Captain of the Green Falcons Osama scored an own goal to double Ghana’s lead on the 67th minute. He failed to deal with Partey’s kick.

But with few minutes left on the clock, Thomas Partey increased the tally to 3-0 with a powerful drive from the eighteen yard box.
