Head coach of WAFA, Klass Rasmunseen has disclosed to the media that the club has achieved its 50 points mark target set for the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League(GPL) season. The coach explained that this target was set because 50 points in the GPL would help any club avoid relegation and a place within the top four teams.
‘We decided to set 50 points mark as our annual target for the league due to our experience last season. We now have 50 points in the league and we are happy to have achieved our target to stay in the league”, he said.
With only two matches to end the Ghana premier league 2016/17 season, Mr. Rasmunseen, believes that they will do their best to beat their opponents in the remaining matches to gain more points in addition to their target. WAFA are second on the league log and look forward to top the league table at end of the season should they win all the two matches left while Aduana Stars lose or draw in their remaining matches.
WAFA will play Ebusua Dwarfs in the match day 29 fixture in the league at the Cape Coast stadium on 15th October, 2017.
