After a loss against Crystal Palace, many pundits begun questioning Antonio Conte’s competence. Many have said that his team, Chelsea flourished last season as a result of the lack of champion’s league football. Being part of all official local and international competitions this year, things have not been all that smooth for Chelsea.
Yesterday’s champion’s league draw with against AS Roma has somehow compounded Conte’s problems, although his employers have not shown any apparent displeasure in the public domain. Roma has been very strong in the Italian Serie A this season so it is appropriate for anyone to say that Chelsea drew with a good team. But having gone past Courtois three times at Stangford Bridge will definitely raise eyebrows.
The West London club, being notorious for sacking managers at the least provocation, also gives enough reason to worry about Conte’s future at the club.
Chelsea are still occupying the first position in Group E with seven points, despite the draw yesterday. They however, on the 5th position in the English premiership with thirteen points after winning four matches, drawing one and losing four after eight games .
