Two-time champions Ghana outplayed fellow African side Niger 2-0 to enter the quarterfinals of the FIFA U17 World Cup.
The Black Starlets will face their Malian counterparts in the Quarter-Final stage of the competition after they both made it through with Ghana winning 2-0 against fellow African participants Niger, this time Ghana will face a much stronger side Mali who has been a suprise team and a delight to watch, convincingly winning 5-1 against Iraq. Which set a quarter-final berth between this two African football powerhouse. Which is set to be played at the Guwahati Stadium on Saturday 21, October 2017 at 11:30 GMT.
REVENGE OR REPEAT- Both teams will meet again the second time in an international competition after first meeting at the U17 AFCON in Gabon which the Malians were victorious after beating Ghana in the semi-finals to qualify for the final which they eventually won. Looking at the upcoming fixture the Malians look certain to clinch a ticket into the semi-finals of the FIFA U17 World Cup, which could cause another setback to the Ghanaian who are looking to make amends from previous encounter and win this for their country.
Is Ghana going to revenge against their Malian counterparts or the Malians will repeat their feat and continue their reign of superiority on the African continent in the U17 category.
