Ghana and Sassuolo midfielder Joseph Alfred Duncan is set to be sidelined for a maximum period of two to three weeks due to an ankle injury.
The 24-year-old mercurial midfielder picked up an ankle sprain injury during his side’s 1-0 victory over SPAL in the Serie A campaign last weekend.
The nimble left footed midfield workhorse saw his game time on the pitch being truncated on the 47th minute and had to be replaced by fellow team-mate Stefano Sensi.
The extent of the ankle distortion is yet to be known but reports from Italy suggest that Duncan is likely to sit out for a maximum period of two to three weeks.
However the former Inter Milan youth product has been a mainstay in the midfield set-up of coach Cristian Bucchi’s side since the commencement of the current league season following his consistent outings so far.
