Former Hearts of Oak Managing Director Mr. Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe has expressed the very strong hope that the MTN FA Cup final where his boyhood club and former employers, Accra Hearts of Oak will face Kumasi Asante Kotoko to battle it out for the decorated trophy, will go in favour of Hearts. He indicated that both teams have been very impressive on the road to the finals of this year’s competition and spoke about how unpredictable games of this nature could be.
“Games between Hearts and Kotoko have always been very tough with lots of expectations from the fans. Going into their first final against each other in decades, I believe both teams have prepared very well. However, I see Hearts of Oak coming out victorious in this encounter as they have had a good season with some top draw performances during the league and on the road to the final of the FA cup. I believe the trophy triumph will be a dedication to the fans for their support all season.”- He said
The 2017 MTN FA Cup final to be played by the two powerhouses of Ghana football termed as the “Clash of the
Titans” will be staged at the Tamale Sports Stadium on Sunday 29, October 2017 at 3pm.
“If the game is fair, we are going to have a good game on our hands.”- Me. Mortagbe added.
The winner of the MTN FA cup will be in line to represent Ghana in the CAF Confederations Cup next season.
