The Porcupine Warriors secured a 1-0 win over Premier League debutant Eleven Wonders.
Asante Kotoko recorded a 1-0 win over Techiman Eleven Wonders on match day two of this year’s Ghalca G8 Tournament.
Experienced attacking midfielder Obed Owusu scored the game’s only goal on the afternoon at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Kotoko’s Kwame Boahen was illegally brought down in the 18-yard box of the ‘Sure Wonders’ lads, and referee didn’t waste time to point to the spot on the 35th minute.
Owusu expectedly converted the penalty kick to hand Kotoko the lead.
The Reds created a lot of chances but failed to put the ball in the net.
Coach Steve Polack handed debuts to goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim and Mohammed Sylla.
Eleven Wonders on the other hand, pressed hard for the equalizer but squandered all the numerous chances that came their way.
They played well to the delight of their few supporters who throng to the stadium to watch the game.
Kotoko new signing Mohammed Sylla was adjudged man of the match.
