Ghana, over the past few years, have recorded some splendid performances in Africa. The U-19 team after conquering Africa in 2016, failed to qualify for the ICC Cricket World Cup, in New Zealand, placing 3rd out of 4 countries at the division 1 tournament held in Nairobi, Kenya. The Senior national team also failed to make it to division 4, of the ICC World Cricket League, after their fantastic exploits at Africa division 1 in South Africa last year.
The first edition of this tournament (formerly NWACC) had Gambia, Ghana, Sierra Leone and Mali.
