Newly appointed Brong Ahafo United Coach, Ernest Akotuah has urged the club’s supporters to desist from hooliganism, as they strive to return back to the Ghana top-flight.
BA United returned to the Ghana Premier League during the 2014/15 season after a 10-year absence But poor performances coupled with fans violence got the side relegated at the end of the season. They amassed 19 points which placed them at the bottom of the 16-club league.
In a quest to return swiftly to the GPL, the management of the Apostles of Power Soccer has appointed Akotuah to steer affairs of the club.
And, he calls on the various stakeholders to rally behind the technical team and players to gain promotion back into the league ahead of the 2017/18 Division One League.
“I can’t qualify the tean to the Premier League alone. It’s a team work. We the technical team will do our part. I expect the supporters to help too. They should not involve themselves in any violence which could affect the club. If that happens they cannot blame the players for not qualifying, he told Sunyani-based Space FM.
“I’m in talks with some four experienced players to come on board to help us”,
BA United will be playing in the Zone One of the Division One League.
