The promotional journey to the 6th National Women’s this year which began on Saturday, January 20 has seen two teams from each of the two zones taking the lead on the table after 2 matches played.

At the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape Coast, Halifax have gathered 6 points after thrashing Anlo ladies 4-0 on day 1 and pummeling Valued Girls 3-1 on day 2. Still on day 1, Combined Forces drew goalless with Hassport, while Valued Girls lost 0-3 to Army Ladies.

Combined forces are 2nd on the table after their 2-1 win over Anlo Ladies on day 2. Hassport follows with same point, as they managed a 1-0 win over Army ladies.

Monday’s matches in the Southern zone, has Valued Girls coming up against Combined Forces, Hassport versus Anlo Ladies and Army Ladies, facing leaders Haifax Ladies.

In the Northern zone, table toppers, Supreme Ladies will stand bye on Monday after winning two matches, 2-3 against Dreamz ladies and 1-0 over Savannah Ladies.

Savannah Ladies, lying second after a 4-1 beating of Future Queens will play 3rd placed Candy Soccer Academy, who also beat Future Queens 2-1 on match day 2.

Dreamz Ladies and Future Queens will battle it out at for the first 3 points as both sides have suffered 2 defeats and lying 4th and 5th with no point.

The Wesco Park in Kumasi, is the venue for the Northern zonal championship.
