The Ghana Premier league will commence on the 11th of February, 2018 and Elmina Sharks is preparing for the league. Team manager of the club, George Wiredu has disclosed that team is ready for the upcoming season.
“We are prepared and we have gone for our preseason and have played a couple of friendly matches”, he said.
George also made it known that the team has 28 players at camp now with 22 of them being old players and 6 new ones on trials waiting to be signed base on their performance.
The bankroller of the team Dr Papa Kwasi Nduom has tasked the coach of the club that he wants the club to be among the top 4 clubs in the league and Mr Wiredu believes it is in the right direction because that is what every businessman should do.
He later thanked the support of the club for their eminent support for the club in the past season and has urged them to do more in the upcoming season.
Elmina Sharks played Vipers in a friendly match yesterday and it ended 1-1. This is preparation towards the Gala competition to be played Saturday at the Nduom Sports Complex. Elmina Sharks will play Asante Kotoko in the Gala.
