Liberty Professionals captain Samuel Sarfo has joined Saipa FC in Iran, herosportsgh.com understand.
The Ghanaian defender who made his Black Stars debut last year, under coach Kwesi Appiah penned down a one-and-half year deal with Iranian giants.
The 26-year-old was close to joining Ghana FA Cup winners Asante Kotoko, after agreeing personal terms, but opted to move outside.
It is reported in the local media that he joined the Iranian club in a deal worth around $150,000.
Sarfo scored seven goals last season to help Liberty beat the drop.
