Lesotho Referee Martin Lebalnd Mokete has been appointed by Caf to officiate the Confederations Cup preliminary round involving CARA Brazzaville and Asante Kotoko in Congo on February 21, 2018
Mokete who is very young and active is expected to be helped on the flanks by countrymen Souru Phatsoane and Amadou Ngom respectively, while Osiase William Koto plays the role as the fourth referee.
The fear of elimination has already gripped several Kotoko supporters following their side’s 1-0 victory over CARA in the first leg despite having four penalties awarded them by Senegalese referee Issah Sy.
According to reports in the local media, CARA has sworn to retaliate the alleged unfair treatment they went through in Ghana but Kotoko have already made arrangements to resist such actions.
Kotoko is expected to depart Ghana for Brazzaville on February 19 with a chartered flight ahead of the second leg after realising tickets for each player ranges between $1000 and $1,200 since they will have to make a transit in Ethiopia.
