The Capital-based club have confirmed the capturing of the former Asante Kotoko centre-back following weeks of trial sessions with them
Accra Hearts of Oak have signed ex-Asante Kotoko misfit defender Evans Quao on a two-year deal, confirmed club’s spokesman Kwame Opare Addo.
The 27-year-old versatile guardsman has been touted as a backline man with “enormous potential” by his new employers following his release by their sworn enemies this term.
The former Medeama SC centre-back is expected to fill the void left by Vincent Atingah after the latter failed to extend his stay with the one-time continental club masters for the upcoming top-flight league campaign.
“Let me state it categorically clear that Evans Quao, former Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender has been signed by Accra Hearts of oak,” Opare Addo told Abusua FM
He added: “He[Evans Quao] is player with enormous potential. He is one of the best defenders in the country. He is the right man for hearts of oak as he is very experienced.”
