RAG, Ho goes to Congress on Saturday

The Referees Association of Ghana, Central zone Ho on Saturday, February 17, 2018, holds its 3rd quadrennial delegates congress with the election of key officers, a major feature at the Ho Sports Stadium.

Out of the Nine (9) positions, 4 will go unopposed at the event which will begin at 7:00 am prompt. The position of the Vice-chairman, Treasurer, Instructor and Fitness Instructor will not be contested for.

However, the rest of the 5 has Wisdom Komfuor and Philip Nii Lomotey contesting for the Chairman position, after the reign of Seyram Adadey.

Richard Kumedzro, who gave incumbent Emmanuella Aglago a good contest in the regional elections last month, seeks a second term for the Secretary slot but would have it tough, as he faces his former Assistant Secretary Rustum Gameli Senorgbe.

Fresh Aspirants, Kennedy Odame and Chestertine Fiadgbe are for the Assistant Secretary post.

Stephen Balanguena, who is incumbent for Deputy Instructor will be challenged by Isaac Nartey- Yoe.

Another position to be keenly contested for is that of the Deputy Fitness Instructor, which has 4 aspirants (Emmanuel Awutey, former deputy instructor, Maxwell Dzansi, Israel D. Ahiafokpor and Moro Iddrisu).

As every institution has leaders, the men and women who enforce the laws of football in Ho and across the nation need theirs for the next four years.

After the stepping down of former Regional Chairman, George Saijah, who is now RAG Vice Chairman, former Vice, John-Listowell Zilevu beat Frank Fudzi and Simon Doku, to become the new RAG, Volta Chair.
