Weavers beaten at home by Dreams

New Entrants of Ghana’s division one league, Weavers Fc, Agbozume, were beaten 2-0 at home by Ghana Premier League returnee’s, Dreams Fc in a Pre-Season friendly encounter on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at the Somé SHS Park.

The ‘Weavaaa Weave’ boys, who were poised for a win against the Dawu based team, started the game on a good note with the display of their skills and telepathic passes which won the heart of the enthusiastic watching crowd in the first 18 minutes and also put Weavers FC number 1, Ansah Isaac on holiday.

Dreams Fc upon settling in the game in the 20’, were put in the lead through Cletus Nombil, whose goal, silencing the packed home fans with an excellent rebound after goalkeeper Ansah Isaac punches an earlier freekick.

Weavers Fc came close on several occasions to getting an equalizer in the first half with Mudasiru Manaah known as Lukaku, failing to turn his chances into goals.
The second half started as Weavers mounted pressure on Dreams, in search of an equalizer but were punished in the 75’ as the away side cushioned their lead through Ibrahim Dauda.

Dreams, who had few regular starters in the game, maintained their 2-0 lead to the end, with Madasiru’s late shot, hitting the bar.

Dreams Fc, on Sunday, played out a 1 all game with Hearts of Oak at Dawu, still awaiting the unknown beginning of the Premier League.
This becomes the second time the div 1 debutants have lost in their pre-season friendlies, with the first one being against Innyass Academy dé Lome.

Weavers Fc will next travel to the Ho Sports Stadium to play fellow Division one side Okyeman Planners on Friday, March 9, 2018.
