Stakeholder meeting significant – Ablordeh

President of the Volta Regional Volleyball Association, Johnson Ablordeh has told, that the Stakeholder meeting scheduled for Sunday, March 11, 2018, is very significant as it will help avoid repeating same mistakes committed last year.

The meeting which comes off at the Ho Gilds Distance Learning Centre, opposite Miracle Life Hospital, at 11:00am seeks to review the year past and plan for this year’s activities, which includes hosting of the Southern Volleyball Championship.

Volta, having missed the 2 previous Championships in Koforidua and Takoradi due to funds, can’t afford to miss this year’s edition in Ho. The Association will therefore begin preparations early enough to ensure they host the championship successfully.

Johnson Ablordeh, also revealed that there would be a gala to form a regional team.

“Normally in every organization, whatever happens the previous year, there is always the need for to sit down and review the activities and find out where there were lapses and where there are achievements; that is exactly what we also want to do. Then through that we shall be in the position to get solutions to problems that came our way. And the he meeting is also to unearth the programs that will be coming off during the year. So after our meeting, there will be a gala match involving the about 8 teams; from there we can pick the Best ones to form the regional team.”

Sponsorship is one of the main problems affecting the Association as their planned Gala to strengthen the regional team would need enough camping ahead of the championship.

All stakeholders, cooperate bodies and benevolent people are all expected to help the Association realize their targets for the year through funds.

Coaches of the various teams, Referees, Veteran players, and all other persons interested in helping Volta Volleyball develop, are expected at the meeting, come tomorrow.
