Accra Hearts of Oak lost a friendly game against Elmina Sharks in their new home ground for the upcoming Ghana Premier League at Cape Coast stadium. The referee blew his whistle to begin the match. The game was a ding-dong affair for both teams. Benjamin Arthur and Ebo Mends of Sharks were shown a yellow card in the 16th and 38th minutes. Sharks created a lot of chances as compared to Hearts but couldn’t score. The first half ended in goalless.
Hearts made three changes before the whistle was blown to begin the second half. Evans Quao, Selasi Bakai and Radji Ovouka came in to replace Joshua Otto, Samudeen Ibrahim and Cosmos Dauda. The referee blew his whistle to begin the second half of the game. Ebo Mends and Benjamin Arthur were substituted with Tetteh Nortey and Emmanuel Addinton for Sharks.
Inusa Musa and Malik Akowua were sent off the game for Richard Akrofi and Fatauo Mohammed to continue for the Phobians. Fatauo Mohammed was booked in the 82nd minutes. The 87th minute’s goal by Benjamin Tweneboah gave the away team victory over Hearts. Isaac Donkor came in to take over from Suraj Ibrahim in the 90th minutes for Sharks. The referee ended the game after the 90+5 minutes was over.
