Serie A giants Juventus and Inter Milan are set to battle it out for the signature of Mosta and Serbian defender Ivan Maric, according to reports in Italy.
Maric, who’s has had an impressive debut season in the Maltese Premier League coming up with rock top-drawer performance which made him the talk of matters during the course of the league, has his contract set to expire at the end of the season with the Maltese Premier League club Mosta FC.
The stalwart versatile defender is reported to have turned down a contract renewal, putting Juventus Inter Milan and other interested clubs on red alert with the prospect of acquiring his signature.
The 23-year-old can leave the Blues for free in the summer when his contract with the club expires in June.
Austrian side Austria Lustenau who have been long-term admirers of the Serbian still remains his most likely destination if he decides to leave the Mosta-based club in the summer.
However, Inter Milan and Juventus are preparing their own offence in ‘Operation sign Ivan Maric’ in bids to fill voids to be left by players who are on the move from both clubs in the Summer.
Several other European outfits are also assessing the Maric situation as his availability in the summer transfer window becomes increasingly likely.
