The one-time continental club masters are set to be gazumped for the signature of the Former Don Bosco shot-stopper by the top-flight participant’s duo in the ongoing second round transfer window
Aduana Stars and Ashanti Gold SC have joined the race to sign out-of-favour Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Ernest Sowah, claims his representative Nana Oduro Sarfo.
The 30-year-old experienced shot-stopper is currently not short of offers following his released by the Kumasi-based club a few weeks ago.
According to his counsel, the former Black Stars glovesman is on the radar of the two heavyweight clubs with Hearts of Oak also being mentioned as potential suitors.
It was reported in the local media that the netminder has agreed in principle a two-year deal with the Phobians but the club’s spokesperson aggressively rejected the reports adding it should be thrown to the dogs as it lacks an iota of truth.
“Sowah is now a free player because his contract with Asante Kotoko has been terminated by mutual consent,” Sarfo told Kumasi-based Nhyira FM
“Three clubs have contacted us for his services but we have not reached an agreement with any of the clubs yet,”
“We are still weighing their offers for Sowah. We have already held talks with Hearts of Oak but the two latest clubs are Ashanti Gold SC and Aduana Stars,”
