The Phonians have finally secured the services of out-of-favour Asante Kotoko goalie having faced a stiff competition from two other top-flight giants in his pursuit
Accra Hearts of Oak have announced the capturing of experienced goalkeeper Ernest Sowah in the ongoing transfer window.
The Capital-based club was nearly gazumped for the signature of the former Black Stars shot-stopper by two other Premier League rivals, Aduana Stars and AshGold SC when he became available in the transfer market.
However, the 20-time league champions have outsmarted the duo in the race for the 30-year-old glovesman following a fruitful negotiation between both parties.
Sowah put pen to paper earlier this morning and the deal has been confirmed on his club’s official website;
“We are happy to welcome Ernest Sowah into the Hearts family,” the statement reads.
His trainer Jerry Agyei added his compliment over the signing of the former Don Bosco netminder.
“He’s an experienced goalkeeper and we believe he will help bolster our goalkeeping department.”
