Ghana face Uganda in the Simunye Cup 2018 Finals in South Africa

The African Diaspora Hope in collaboration with the City of Johannesburg with a football festival under their auspices dubbed “Simunye Cup” as it’s 2018 edition enters the final.

The final is set and slated for the 19th May, 2018 at the Rand Stadium which will be contested by Ghana and Uganda after both teams defy the odds to reach the final coming up against football powerhouse, with the likes of Zambia, South Africa, Gabon, Liberia, Mali, Mauritius etc all brushed aside.

Uganda being tagged as underdogs after going through some strings of surprises especially with the Semifinal win against Mali which they won by a lone goal. With Ghana winning convincingly against Mozambique, 3-1 in their semi-final clash to set the final stage with The Cranes.

The final which will be played inside the huge capacity stadium (Rand Stadium), as the scores will be settled on the field of play after 90 minutes. An expectant crowd is supposed to fill up the stadium to its capacity to witness the excitement, finesse of the final of the Simunye Cup courtesy the City of Johannesburg.
