The Ghana FA Technical Director was full of praise for the ex-Asante Kotoko forward following his exploit in yesterday’s victory against their Congolese counterparts on matchday 3 of their Caf second-tier competition group stage matches
A member of Caf/Fifa duo’s liaison team, Francis Oti Akenteng has hailed Aduana Stars goal wizard Yahaya Mohammed over his splendid outing in their 2-1 victory against Congolese champions As Vita Club in the Caf Confederation Cup competition.
The two-time Ghana Premier League champions posted a hard-fought victory over the Central African giants much to the delight of the GFA technical boss and has hailed them for their heroics on that feat especially the 30-year-old goal poacher.
A goal each from Bright Agyei and Yahaya Mohammed were enough to separate the crossed swords between both sides at the Nana Agyemang Badu II park in Dormaa after Glody Muzinga grabbed a consolation for the visitors.
“Yahaya Mohammed was excellent yesterday. His fitness level was good compared to the rest of his teammates; he really worked hard to augment the fall short of his colleagues,” Akenteng told Accra-based Happy FM
He added: “Looking at our circumstances, I think Aduana Stars players did their best. Because it was a difficult game and the fitness level of players wasn’t good,”
“Kenichi is a good coach and with good training, I believe they will excel in their next match in Congo.”
Aduana Stars are now 2nd on the league standing having snatched the three maximum points against the Congolese giants.
