I will contest for the GFA Presidency after the reforms – Grusah

The Bank Roller of King Faisal Alhaji Karim Grusah has mentioned that he would contest for the Ghana Football Presidency after the reforms are done by the instituted bodies.

Football activities in Ghana have been halted following investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ Number 12 Exposé, where some GFA executives including the former President, Kwesi Nyantakyi were caught on video, allegedly taking bribes.

The unacceptable behaviours of the top-ranked members forced the incumbent government to stop football activities.

Government, Caf and Fifa have joined heads to put proper structures in place to see football return in the country hence the institution of a two-man liaison team.

And the outspoken football guru has indicated that he’s ripped to lead the football association when the dust is finally settled.

“I will context for the FA PRESIDENCY after the reforms to put proper measures and structures in place to move Ghana football forward”
He told Metro FM 94.1 in Kumasi.

Asante Kotoko captain has indicated that as part of the reforms teams should pay the salaries of players to the liaison team for them to disburse every month to the players in order to avoid non-payment of player salaries.

But Grusah says he disagrees with that proposal stating it would create an avenue for people to steal.

“I don’t support the idea that all registered players salaries should be calculated in full and be deposited somewhere by their various teams so that it would be paid monthly to the players because someone will steal it and it will cause trouble within the football fraternity”

He also noted that the head of the liaison team Dr Kofi Amoah erred when he donated an amount of $2,300 to the Black Princesses when he visited them at Prampram.

“It was bad for the Liaison team Chairman ( Dr Kofi Amoah ) to give money to the Princess team personally, he should have given the money to the Princesses management team/technical team to be shared among the players”
