Israeli Leumit League side Hapoel Petah Tikva has completed the signing of Congolese International Yves Simon Pambou for an undisclosed fee, after a breakdown in negotiations with Ghanaian international Thomas Abbey.
Abbey, who has been a major target for the Israeli club had initially rejected an opportunity(offer) to join them last week made a U-turn to the club to confirm interest but the club had already moved on to its next possible option.
Pambou, 22, who came from the youth ranks of FC Nantes in France and Reggina FC in Italy has signed for Israeli Second League side Hapoel Petah Tikva until the end of the 2018/2019 season.
The midfielder’s arrival has come earnest prior to the start of the season which has given the side a massive boost going into their first fixture with preseason done and dusted. Hapoel Petah Tikva has been tipped by bookmakers as promotion favourites at the end of the season.
