The talented forward is currently attracting so many admiring glances from suitors across the globe, but his employers’ top brass has shot down the possibility of losing him having described him as an “asset”
Songne Yacouba could leave Kumasi Asante Kotoko if only an insane offer could be made for his services, says Kototo CEO, George Amoako.
The 26-year-old dreadlocks goal poacher notched a brace for his side in the “Super Two” first leg clash against their sworn-enemies last Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
His stupendous display coupled with the annexation of the Most Value Player (MVP) accolades for the clash have resurrected talks of interest for his signature from many admirers across the continent.
However, his club’s chief has described him as an “asset” to his outfit and has ruled out the possibility of cashing in on him, adding only an abnormal offer could prise him away following his splendid showing.
“He (Sogne Yacouba) is a very good asset to us and very talented as well. Look at how he scored the two goals for us yesterday!,” Amoah told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM
“He demonstrated how purposeful he is at goal ,I admire him a lot
“We will do our possible best to keep him at Kotoko,we need such players for our club
“These are the kind of players we want to see playing for Kotoko so we will not allow him to leave
“If for any reason he has to leave he won’t go cheap.”
The prolific frontman has revealed his admiration to play for Spanish-based European giants Barcelona FC in the near future.
Sogne Yacouba has so far bagged six goals in all competitions for the 23-time league champions since he was captured in a three-year deal this term.
