High flying youth prospect Matthew Cudjoe with a recent top-drawer performance at the just ended BabyJet Promotions U16 tournament, the young man scooped the top scorer and the best player of the tournament award has been attracting interest from Europeans clubs.
Cudjoe, 14, who is owned by Great Somas Football Academy (formerly known as Dansoman Barcelona SA) has been touted as the next Big Star to come out of Ghana with many bookmakers tipping him to be up for the next generation of the Ghana U17 national team. His undoubtedly dribbling skill, pace and eye for goal has won him the name “Messi” among his teammates.
With many European clubs expressing interest in the talented youngster, his club Great Somas is poised and are on the lookout for a possible destination that will be a pathway for Matthew Cudjoe to continue his development of becoming a top player and live up to the expectations of the One For the Future tag being dropped on him because of the immense capabilities he has shown so far.
Matthew Cudjoe scored a whopping 6 goals in 5 matches to help his club win the maiden edition of the BabyJet Promotions tournament, the biggest highlight was when he bagged a brace against Mandela Academy and 3 goals against Elite Club of Togo in the final group game which was the decider for Great Somas qualifying to the Quarter Finals. The only player to have scored a hat-trick in the tournament.
Matthew Cudjoe has drawn many reviews on his brilliant performance from the organizers of the tournament, tipping him for greatness in a few years to come and has lauded his good character on and off the field which tells a positive hallmark of the youngster.
