The unavailability of the Legonite Handball Team has caused their week 18 outstanding clash against Fire to be postponed again in the ongoing Greater Accra Handball League.
Legonite, who was supposed to originally play their nemesis on Friday, September 26 in the week 18 fixture, was postponed to Saturday, October 6 in week 19 but have to be rescheduled to an unknown date as the GAHA Cup takes centre stage this week.
Prisons lock horns with Hostac and Asomdwe for the female and male matches respectively in the GAHA Cup semifinal on Tuesday, October 9, at Burma Camp at 2 pm.
The other semis also sees Police play Cantonment Youth female and Legonite male accordingly on Wednesday at the Prisons complex at the same time.
Meanwhile, Cantonment Youth had mixed League results with Fire on Wednesday, October 3 as Fire female lost 24-25 to the former but their male side won 32-23.
Army brushed aside Airforce 22-11 for the female and 22-20 for the male at Burma Camp on Thursday. It was the turn of El-Wak Wings to taste defeat from the hands of Police, whose female side dominated with chances from beginning to end, winning 31-8. Police male side couldn’t be complacent on Friday, ensuring a smooth and comfortable 37-28 victory against El-Wak Wings.
In another thriller to wrap up the results, Hostac hosted and won against Lekma 45-40 in the male-only affair on Saturday at the Prisons Complex.
