The teams and athletes belonging to a sports club may compete in several different leagues, championships and tournaments wearing the same club colours and using the same club name, sharing also the same club fan base, supporters and facilities.

A Football Club is a group of players selected to play together in the various team sports known as football. Such teams could be selected to play in a match against an opposing team, to represent a football club, group, state or nation, an all-star team or even selected as a contingent team.

The question is do Ghana has a sporting club or football club?

When you check with some of the clubs in Ghana has SC on their name . which means this club is a “sporting club”.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC
Accra Hearts of Oak SC
Dezac’s Sporting Club
Metro SC
Rospak S.C
Papao sporting club
Rot-Weiss S.C
Ashanti Gold SC
Medeama SC

Can we just say they’re using the SC without it meaning? But all the clubs who have the SC on their name has been registered at Registrar general department of Ghana which is under Ministry of Justice and Attorney General.
