The 22-year-old multifunctional winger is set to join the Elmina-based side after excelling tremendously during his two weeks assessment sessions
Former Asante Kotoko winger Alhaji Issahaku is on the verge of joining Elmina Sharks on a two-year deal as a free agent.
The versatile youngster, who can operate on both flanks of the pitch, severes ties with the Porcupine Warriors on mutual consent and is set to link up with their Premier League rivals in the upcoming days having proved himself in training sessions with them for the past weeks.
Having won the trust of former manager Paa Kwesi Fabin with Kotoko, the skilful wideman was handed a four-year contract by management due to his promising displays at the club.
That notwithstanding, the nimble left-footed young star had been deemed unfit by new manager C.K Akonnor in his set-up and had endorsed his release from his new side.
The 22-year-old continues to buckle down towards his dream of achieving greater heights in the country’s elite division contest as he nears clinching a deal with the Nduom Sports Stadium outfit in the coming days.
“He [Alhaji Issahaku] could be signing a two-year contract with Elmina Sharks in the coming days having trained with them for the past two weeks,” a source close to the multifunctional winger disclosed to Herosportsgh.com over his impending deal with Sharks.
It is believed that Elmina Sharks want to tie down the young prospect on a long-term deal following his immense talent.
