The Ghanaian powerhouse had accused the Zambian outfit of spies over their training regimes ahead of the crunch tie, but the gaffer had none of such allegations
Kumasi Asante Kotoko is not Barcelona or Real Madrid to stress myself in monitoring their training sessions day in, day out, says Zesco United head coach George Lwandamina.
The Porcupine Warriors are billed to cross swords with their Zambian opponent for the second group C fixtures of the Caf Confederation Cup competition on Wednesday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
However, the two-time African champions are looking forward to making amends having narrowly lost 0-1 to Sudanese side Al Hilal for the group opener in Omdurma last week.
Following the defeat, Kotoko have since intensified preparations in training sessions in a bid to put their Zambian counterparts to the sword although the visitors are now believed to have gathered some vital information on the tactics to be deployed by their nemesis ahead of the crunch tie.
The Ghanaian giants had accused the former Chipolopolo gaffer of spying on them but he had none of such allegations believing they lacked substances in them.
“Kotoko is not Barcelona or Real Madrid for me to be watching every day!” the loudmouth Zesco United manager fired to Kumasi-based Boss FM
He added: The most important thing is for me to concentrate on my team, train the player very well. It is a group game and it will not be good for me to concentrate on only one team,”
“We have good players, the team spirit is high and individual players have good confidence,”
“We are not afraid of Asante Kotoko and we shall play our best game in order to get the three points.”
The kick-off time is 4:00 pm Local Time.
