Berekum Chelsea (U19) qualifies to the next phase of the Viareggio Cup after piping Spezia (U19) by a lone goal after full time. Making it two wins and a loss, putting the highflying youngsters a shot at the next stage in their first time asking.
B. Chelsea (U19) lost 1-0 against AC Milan (U19) in their first match, and went on to win 4-1 against Carrarese U19 and finally piping Spezia (U19) 1-0 to seal their qualification. In the next stage, they face Brazilian pro club Atletico Paranaense (U19) at the Stadio dei Marmi.
The Ghana Premier League giants Berekum Chelsea FC, youth (U19) side are participating for the first time in one of Europe’s most decorated youth tournament’s 71st edition being staged in Italy every year ever since its inception, Viareggio Cup.
The international youth tournament which is contested by U19 sides of top pro clubs from around the world with the likes of AC Milan, Santos, LA Galaxy, Inter Milan, Juventus and a host of others who has been consistent over the years, unleashing and revealing the best youngsters onto the international football stage.
