On Sunday, 31st March 2019, when Ghana’s domestic football resumes after a long break since June 2018, with the NC Special cup, the history books will be updated.
For the first time in the Nation’s footballing history, will be the Normalization Committee’s Special Cup, instead of the Ghana Premier League. This competition steps in, in a time where all citizens and football lovers had been starved of some action after a long break.
The competition has been drawn to find representatives for the Country for the next C.A.F. inter club continental showpiece.
The Ghana Football Association’s Normalization Committee gas had a Topsy turvy ride since it was appointed in September last year to take over the affairs of Ghana’s football. It was set up by the world governing body of football, F.I.FA. to replace the degraded ex-executives of the G.F.A led by Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi. The G.F.A was caught up in scandalous a bribery and corruption investigative documentary by the journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
Football lovers who thrown to the Accra Sports Stadium to witness Ghana vs Kenya match, evidently shown that they’ve missed the action and this NC Special Cup comes right in the nick of time to salvage the situation.
The lovers of the game can now smile again as their various premier clubs and first Division clubs return to the pitches and arenas to play some exciting football.
