The 23-year-old lateral defender is set to undergo a mandatory health assessment at the Bundesliga outfit and could soon put pen to paper on a loan deal if he is given a clean bill of medical health
Ghanaian left-back Baba Abdul Rahman is currently set to undertake his medical with German top-flight side Schalke 04 ahead of his imminent transfer loan move from Chelsea.
The Veltins-Arena outfit has been pursuing the former Augsburg man for a loan stint since he recuperated from his Knee ligament injury after being sidelined with that setback over a season now.
Schalke O4 sporting director Christian Heidel confirmed on Thursday that the Black Stars defender is due to take his medical today with his side as he inches close to joining them in the ongoing transfer window.
Baba Rahman enjoyed a superb loan spell outings with Schalke during the 2016/17 league season before he was knocked back with that career-threatened knee ligament injury whilst on national assignment at the Africa Cup of Nations.
