The Black Princess of Ghana has booked their ticket to the U/20 Women’s World Cup Qualifier after they defeat the Les Lionnes of Cameron 3-0 at the Cape Coast stadium.
The referee blew her whistle to begin the game. It was a nice to witness between the two sides. Ernestina Abambila scored the first goal in the 14th minutes to put Ghana on the lead. The game continues till the 39th minutes when Priscilla Adubea added another goal for Ghana and moumazim Poumbo Brigitte Michelle was booked for pushing Priscilla. The referee added 1minute to the 45 minutes.
The heat continued in the second with Cameroonians down with 2 goals. Cameroon made two quick changes in the 49th and 52nd minutes. Tuota Ornella came out for Raissa Adama to continue and Alice Flora was substituted by Eloide Ruth. Ruth Anima was booked in the 60th minutes after pushing a Cameroon player. Cameroon made their last change in the 67th minutes where Peka Viviane was replaced by Marie Giselle. Helina Obeng was pulled out in the 73rd minutes for Sandra Owusu Ansah to come in and she scored the third goal for Ghana in the 77th minutes. Phlicity Asuako was knocked down in the 90th minutes and she was replaced by Linda Amoako. Additional 5 minutes was added to the regulation time.
With the win, Ghana now qualifies to the FIFA U20 World Cup which will be staged in France from August 5-24.
Meanwhile the Falconets of Nigeria will join Ghana to the World Cup once again after the two sides represented the African continent in New Zealand two years ago.
